Palesa Sibiya is an interdisciplinary storyteller, filmmaker, cultural worker, applied drama and theatre practitioner. Her passion for women, children and youth has focused her practice. Sibiya holds Media Diploma from Boston Media House and is currently doing her Master’s in Visual Arts at the Witwatersrand University where she also completed her BA Honors in Dramatherapy and Applied Drama. In the past 9 years she has worked on several local films and TV shows. Co-producers on STILL (feature documentary), Producer of Inkomo Yami (short film). Production Manager Love Lives Here (Feature Film), Mokapelo (television series) to mention a few. In 2018 she was a recipient of the Marshall Kander Drama For Life Award for outstanding research in HIV/ AIDS education through applied drama theatre.
