The second panel was preceded by the screening of Altared State: Brandfort, on Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s life in Brandfort. The panel was moderated by Gail Smith, feminist writer and journalist, and the panellists comprised Social worker Keitumetse Moutloatse, and writer, Sisonke Msimang, author of The Resurrection of Winnie Mandela and focused on social work as resistance and Winnie’s impact on Brandfort.
