Black Women: Erasure, Resistance & Persistence

The first panel was preceded by the screening of Lauretta: And They Did Not Die, on the life and work of writer, Lauretta Ngcobo.  The panel was moderated by Haseena Majid, Tekano Lifelong Fellow, and the panellists comprised  Dr Athambile Masola, historian, Ms Zikhona Valela and Ms Sipho Mthathi, Tekano Programmes Committee Chairperson – to address historiography, black women, erasure, resistance and persistence.
